NDDOT seeks public input on Highway 2 improvements in Devils Lake

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will hold a public input meeting on Thursday, August 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. to discuss planned improvements for U.S. Highway 2 in Devils Lake. The section under consideration stretches from Elks Drive to the Hefti Rest Area.

The meeting is scheduled at High Plains Equipment, located at 8373 US Highway 2 in Devils Lake. An open house format will be used, with a formal presentation beginning at 5 p.m.

Proposed work includes milling and overlaying the highway surface, realigning intersections, extending frontage roads, adding turn lanes and improving access points, installing destination lighting, overlaying the Hefti Rest Area parking lot, and overlaying certain frontage roads.

Representatives from NDDOT and Civil Science, Inc. will attend the meeting to answer questions and address concerns.

NDDOT states that it will consider requests for reasonable accommodation to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services are available upon request for this meeting.
