Commission meeting to discuss development districts, HR plans, tax issues

The upcoming commission meeting on February 10 will address a range of topics, starting with the approval of the agenda and minutes from previous meetings. Following these initial proceedings, there will be a presentation by AT&T and discussions led by Ladd Erickson on industrial development districts.

Alice Grinsteinner is scheduled to cover several human resources matters, including a new NDPERS retirement plan and a review of job applications for the road superintendent position. The session will also explore employee assistance programs and issues related to banked hours and overtime.

Patty Koapke will present on tax equalization matters, focusing specifically on abatements. The road superintendent segment will discuss petroleum equipment needs and consider bids for necessary equipment.

Other business includes authorizing calls for bids, approving an E-911 joint powers agreement with the city, and making board appointments for planning & zoning as well as weed control. There is also a need to reschedule certain meeting dates due to court conflicts.

Further discussions will involve the purchase of items, Senate Bill 2208, SRF Consulting's quote regarding planning and zoning ordinance updates, working child care credit considerations, and potential budget amendments.
