Gov. Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota, along with First Lady Kjersti Armstrong, is set to attend the National Governors Association (NGA) Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C., from Thursday to Saturday. The event will feature discussions on various topics and include a business session at the White House with Cabinet members and President Donald Trump.

Armstrong expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “I’m looking forward to meeting with fellow governors to share North Dakota’s success story and learn about what’s working in other states.” He emphasized the importance of the NGA as a platform for discussing shared challenges and collaboration between states and the federal government.

The sessions at the meeting will cover innovative solutions for workforce challenges, border security, efforts against fentanyl trafficking, support for military personnel and their families, food security, and education.

The NGA Winter Meeting is one of two annual gatherings organized by this bipartisan association that represents governors from all 50 states and five U.S. territories.
