The North Dakota Retirement and Investment Office (NDRIO) has scheduled its 2025 Investment Seminar for October 23 in Bismarck. The seminar aims to give policymakers, investment professionals, and the public a look at how NDRIO manages investments under the oversight of the State Investment Board (SIB).

This year’s event, titled “Investing with Intent: Strategies that Strengthen, Sustain and Serve North Dakotans,” will begin with a keynote address from political strategist Frank Kelly. NDRIO Chief Investment Officer Scott M. Anderson is set to discuss the impact of recent legislative initiatives on Legacy Fund positioning. The agenda also includes an update on SIB programs and a panel discussion about the future of North Dakota’s in-state investment program. Networking opportunities are part of the schedule.

“The seminar provides an opportunity to learn how the Retirement and Investment Office invests with intent to serve North Dakotans responsibly while building long-term financial stability for our state,” said Jodi A. Smith, NDRIO executive director.

The SIB manages a $24 billion portfolio that includes assets from the North Dakota Legacy Fund as well as 28 government pension and insurance client funds. NDRIO is responsible for managing this investment program.

Information about registration is available at www.rio.nd.gov, with registration closing on October 17.
