North Dakota Global Talent Summit focuses on legal immigration for workforce needs

The North Dakota Department of Commerce Global Talent Office (GTO) organized the 2025 North Dakota Global Talent Summit on August 14 at Bismarck State College’s NECE building. The summit brought together national and international experts to discuss legal immigration as a workforce strategy.

Over 100 participants attended sessions that addressed topics such as the U.S. immigration system, hiring methods, and approaches for integrating and retaining international talent. The event included plenary panels, breakout discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at employers, community leaders, and workforce professionals.

According to organizers, the summit sought to provide practical solutions for addressing workforce shortages by leveraging legal immigration channels.
