Dakota Prairie Grasslands working group meets to discuss updates and future plans

The Dakota Prairie Grasslands and Grazing Associations Working Group is set to convene at 9 a.m. Mountain Time on Monday, April 14. The meeting will take place at the Stark County Veterans Pavilion, located at 801 5th Ave. W. in Dickinson, North Dakota.

The agenda begins with a call to order and introductions. Following this, there will be an update on Grassland Grazing Grant projects, with each association expected to report on their progress. Discussions will then shift to project overages, providing a legislative update, and covering funding for invasives and other agreements.

Further agenda items include a status report on water well conversions as well as a memorandum of understanding. Land use practices, especially conservation practices and administrative costs, will be detailed in the land use practices desk guide. Travel management for the Little Missouri National Grassland and a check-in on the improvements and road maintenance document are also scheduled for discussion. The United States Forest Service will provide a staffing update.

The meeting will conclude with discussions on future meetings around 11:30 a.m., with adjournment set for noon.
