Former Traverse City Pit Spitters player Chad Patrick made his Major League Baseball debut with the Milwaukee Brewers on March 29, 2025. Patrick is the 376th former player from the Northwoods League to progress to the Major League level.

Patrick attended Purdue University Northwest and played for the Traverse City Pit Spitters during the summers of 2019 and 2020. He was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fourth round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

During his tenure with the Pit Spitters, Patrick had a record of 4-4 with a 3.75 ERA in 2019, striking out 45 batters over 57.2 innings. In 2020, he recorded a 2-1 mark with a 1.03 ERA, accumulating 49 strikeouts in 35.0 innings.

Patrick's professional career commenced in 2021 with the Visalia Rawhide of the Low-A West League, where he logged six strikeouts over 5.2 innings, finishing with a 4.76 ERA. The following year, he began with the Diamondbacks Black team in the Arizona Complex League and later transitioned to the Hillsboro Hops of the High-A Northwest League, ending the year with a 5-2 record and a 3.30 ERA.

In 2023, Patrick started with the Amarillo Sod Poodles of the AA Texas League and was later traded to the Oakland Athletics, joining the Midland RockHounds before advancing to the AAA Las Vegas Aviators of the Pacific Coast League. He completed the season with a combined record of 4-11 and a 5.59 ERA, tallying 129 strikeouts over 124.0 innings.
