Construction on the Sterling Interchange at Exit 182 on Interstate 94 is set to begin on April 1. The project involves replacing a structure, leading to the closure of the bridge on U.S. Highway 83/North Dakota Highway 14 during construction. However, interchange ramps will remain open.
Northbound traffic on U.S. 83 heading towards northbound ND 14 or westbound I-94 will be rerouted via the Driscoll Interchange at Exit 190. From there, northbound ND 14 traffic can use the off-ramp at Sterling Interchange at Exit 182 to continue their journey northward.
Similarly, southbound traffic on ND 14 heading towards southbound U.S. 83 or eastbound I-94 will be detoured through the McKenzie Interchange at Exit 176. Southbound U.S. 83 travelers can then utilize the off-ramp at Sterling Interchange at Exit 182 to proceed south.
During this period, a speed limit reduction and a width restriction of fourteen feet will be enforced near the interchange area.
The project is anticipated to conclude by late October.
