The City of Bismarck's Human Relations Committee has extended the submission deadline for the annual Humanitarian Award. Originally, the deadline was set to close on April 20. However, due to a rescheduling of the committee's meeting, the deadline has been moved to May 15.
The Humanitarian Award is open to adults, youth, and businesses or non-profit organizations that have demonstrated leadership in human and civil rights over the past year. This year, a youth category is included for the first time. The award recognizes community members who educate, identify issues, and address human rights.
Nominations can be submitted in several ways:
- Through the online form on the City of Bismarck website by 11:59 PM on May 15.
- By email by 11:59 PM on May 15, with all required information from the online form.
- Dropped off at the Bismarck Administration Department by 4:59 PM on May 15, located on the fourth floor of the City/County Building at 221 North Fifth Street, Bismarck. These must also include all relevant information.
- Mailed to the Administration Department. However, mailed submissions received after May 15 will not be eligible.
