Political action committees (PACs) in North Dakota are required to adhere to specific reporting obligations under state law. According to a recent statement, PACs subject to the requirements of N.D.C.C. § 16.1-08.1-03.7 must also comply with the reporting demands of N.D.C.C. § 16.1-08.1-02.4.

The announcement clarifies that filing a report under one statute does not exempt PACs from filing under the other statute if they meet criteria for both. Therefore, these committees must submit all mandated reports and information as per both regulations.

"You can view this opinion at: 2025-L-01" provides further details on this requirement.
