The City of Mandan is organizing a public input meeting to discuss proposed improvements to downtown streets and avenues. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., and will take place in the Community Room at Morton Mandan Public Library, located at 609 W Main St. The format will be an open house with a formal presentation starting at 5:30 p.m.
The project involves roadway and sidewalk reconstruction on First Street NW from Sixth Ave NW to Fourth Ave NW. It also extends one block north on Fifth Ave NW and one block north and south on Fourth Ave NW. Planned improvements include upgrades compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), storm sewer enhancements, water main replacement, curb and gutter work, lighting, as well as landscape and streetscape enhancements.
City of Mandan representatives along with KLJ Engineering personnel will be present to address questions and concerns from attendees.
For those unable to attend, a pre-recorded presentation along with other materials will soon be accessible on the City’s website at cityofmandan.com/roadprojects. Written comments are welcome until February 18; they must be postmarked or emailed by this date with “Public Input Meeting” in the letter heading or email subject line.
