Mandan Public School District has announced that students from Mandan High School are engaged in designing and constructing a Tiny Home this semester, which will be available for purchase. This announcement was made via a Facebook post on January 3, 2025.

According to the school district, the Tiny Home is being built by students and is intended for use as a private guest space at a home or vacation property. Buyers have the option to choose finishings if they pre-purchase the home. The project aims to provide students with practical experience in design and construction. Mandan High School, located at 2335 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND, is under the leadership of Principal Mark Andresen. The administrative team includes Assistant Principals Aaron Koenig and Alyssa Caya, along with Activities Director Mark Weist. The school admits students who have completed 8th grade with recommendations from their previous school. Transfer students must submit a satisfactory transcript and a North Dakota Department of Health Certificate of Immunization. New students are required to present proof of identification through student records or a certified birth certificate. According to Mandan High School, the building operates from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on school days.

The Mandan Public School District states that its School Board consists of nine members serving as the policy-making body for the district, with authority only during formally called meetings.
