Bismarck State College is set to host its Explore BSC event on Friday, October 17. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new Advanced Technology Center located at 1220 Schafer Street in Bismarck.
The event is aimed at high school juniors, seniors, and adult learners who are considering their college options. Attendees will have the chance to learn about academic programs and career pathways available at BSC. There will be a panel of current students discussing their experiences, as well as tours of the campus and residence halls.
Participants can also get information about admissions, student success services, financial aid options including scholarships and waivers, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). According to organizers, "Explore BSC gives high school juniors and seniors and prospective adult learners the opportunity to discover academic programs and career pathways, learn about the BSC college experience from a panel of current students, tour campus and residence halls and get answers to questions about the admissions process, student success services and much more."
A complimentary lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m., with additional time after the main program for attendees to speak with college representatives or visit facilities such as the bookstore or Mystic Java coffee shop. Those who apply for admission during Explore BSC will have their application fee waived and be entered into a drawing for a $500 scholarship.
