The City of West Fargo is organizing a public information meeting to discuss a proposed multiuse path and pedestrian bridge project in the River’s Bend neighborhood. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rustad Recreation Center’s Harvest Room, located at 601 26th Ave in West Fargo.
The event will follow an open house format, with a formal presentation set for 5:30 p.m. The project aims to build a multiuse path and a pedestrian bridge over the Sheyenne River, which would connect the existing path on Sheyenne Street to the River’s Bend neighborhood.
City representatives and staff from HDR Engineering Inc. will be present to address questions and concerns from community members. According to the city, “A pre-recorded presentation and other materials will be available on the City of West Fargo’s Engineering website at westfargond.gov/riversbendpath.”
Residents who cannot attend have until November 14 to submit written comments by mail or email. Submissions should reference “Public Input Meeting - PCN 24260” in their heading or subject line. Comments can be sent to Brian King, HDR Project Manager, at 51 Broadway N, Suite 550; Fargo, ND 58102 or via email at brian.j.king@hdrinc.com.
The city also stated its commitment to accessibility: “The City of West Fargo will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities. Language interpretation and translation services will be available upon request for this meeting.”
