Funding is now available for research into honey bee health and management, according to an announcement from Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is seeking grant proposals focused on practical solutions to challenges facing the honey bee industry.
“The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is seeking grant proposals for research into finding practical solutions to honey bee health and management concerns,” said Goehring.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals addressing one or more of five research priorities: Varroa mites, nutrition, genetics and breeding, Tropilaelaps mites, and Nosema. Both partial project funding requests and proposals that extend previously funded projects will be considered. Multiple grants may be awarded.
