The Bismarck Larks have provided an update on their ongoing search for a new Field Manager as they prepare for the 2026 season. The organization has interviewed numerous coaching candidates from across the country, seeking someone who aligns with their vision of building a competitive and high-energy team.
According to the statement, candidates bring varied backgrounds, including extensive playing experience and long coaching careers. The club emphasized that each candidate understands the need for a new approach to recruiting, which includes scouting differently and forming relationships with new college programs.
The ideal Field Manager is expected to focus on providing players with a memorable summer experience in Bismarck, fostering a winning culture centered on discipline, respect, and effort. Additional priorities include recruiting athletes who fit the team's values and supporting their growth both on and off the field. Leadership qualities such as energy and professionalism are also highlighted as essential.
The club stated: "This search is about setting a higher standard for the player experience, how we build our roster and how we compete on the field." In addition to hiring a Field Manager, the Larks are establishing a baseball operations department to offer more resources and structure for coaches.
The organization noted progress in finding strong leadership candidates but said that the selection process is still underway. They anticipate sharing further updates with fans once a decision has been made.
"As I shared in my last update, this is a journey we want you to be part of. From filling the stands, to supporting our players, to helping us spread the word about Larks baseball, the role you play is just as important in shaping what’s ahead as the work happening behind the scenes," read part of the update.
