A Powerball ticket purchased in Fargo, North Dakota has won a $100,000 prize in the drawing held Wednesday night. The winning ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball, with the numbers 3, 16, 29, 61, 69 and Powerball 22. The Power Play multiplier was two.
The ticket was sold at Don’s Car Wash located at 2500 52nd Ave S in Fargo. Originally worth $50,000, the prize doubled to $100,000 because the player selected the Power Play option. Don’s Car Wash will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winner must claim their prize at the North Dakota Lottery office within 180 days of the draw.
“The billion-dollar Powerball jackpot run has created a lot of excitement for players as well as a couple of big wins,” said Thomas Lawler, Attorney General’s Office Director of the North Dakota Lottery. “In addition to this six-figure Powerball win, North Dakota also had a $50,000 Powerball winner on August 23. Powerball has shared its luck with other games, as we also had a Lucky for Life $25,000 a year for life winner in early August.”
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, September 6 with an estimated jackpot of $1.7 billion. Further details and results are available at https://lottery.nd.gov/.
