The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is highlighting the value of library cards during its annual Library Card Sign-Up Month, taking place throughout September. The initiative encourages residents to obtain a library card, which provides access to more than just books.

According to the library, a cardholder can benefit from free classes, technology resources, homework assistance, streaming media, and cultural events. The theme for this year’s campaign is “One Card, Endless Possibilities.” The message emphasizes that libraries serve all members of the community regardless of age or background.

“During Library Card Sign-Up Month this September, discover how a single card can open the door to endless opportunities! With a library card, you can do so much more than check out books. From free classes and tech resources to homework help, streaming media, and cultural events, the library connects our community to information, inspiration, and each other,” states the announcement.

“This year’s theme, ‘One Card, Endless Possibilities,’ is a reminder that libraries are for everyone—no matter your age, background, or goals. Whether you’re diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card!” the statement continues.

Residents interested in signing up can visit the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library in person or learn more online at bit.ly/BVMPL-LibraryCards. For additional information about the event or available services, contact Elizabeth Jacobs at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.
