The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) has announced plans to carry out ground ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control treatments in the communities of Ray and Grenora. The operation is scheduled for after sunset on Friday, August 15, 2025, depending on weather conditions.

According to WCVCD, Deltagard will be used during these treatments. The active ingredient in Deltagard is Deltamethrin, which is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for residential mosquito control.

Residents are advised to keep a minimum distance of 300 feet from Vector Control trucks while fogging operations are underway. The district also encourages people to take measures to avoid mosquito bites when outdoors between dusk and dawn.
