Cass County Vector Control has announced plans to conduct truck mounted mosquito spraying in several rural Cass County cities on Monday, August 11, beginning after 8:00 p.m., provided weather conditions allow.
The decision to spray comes as a response to an increase in mosquito nuisance levels in the area. According to the agency, the spraying will use Ultra Low Volume (ULV) applications containing either permethrin or etofenprox. Both of these insecticides are approved for use in residential neighborhoods and are considered non-toxic to humans and pets.
