The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) has scheduled a public hearing for August 25, 2025, at 10 a.m. to discuss proposed amendments to the Bismarck-Mandan 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The meeting will take place in the David Blackstead Meeting Room of the City/County Building at 221 N 5th St, Bismarck.

The hearing is intended to give residents an opportunity to participate in the review process for a new project being considered for inclusion in the TIP. The TIP outlines federally funded transportation projects planned within the metropolitan area over a four-year period. According to the MPO, "The proposed amendment will be adopted by the MPO Policy Board, contingent upon no substantive change required due to public comments."

Community members can attend the hearing or submit written comments about the proposal. Comments should be sent to Stephen Larson of the MPO by 9 a.m. on August 25, either by mail at P.O. Box 5503 Bismarck, ND, 58506, via email, or faxed to (701) 222-6450. For more information about submitting input or about the meeting itself, Stephen Larson can be reached at (701) 355-1848.

Those needing accommodations for disabilities or language assistance are encouraged to contact the Title VI/ADA Coordinator at (701) 355-1330 or via email. TTY users may use Relay North Dakota services by dialing 711 or 1-800-366-6888 and are asked to make requests at least five days before the meeting.
