The Oliver County Planning & Zoning Board has released the agenda for its upcoming meeting scheduled for July 31, 2025. The session will begin at 7:00 PM with the call to order, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.

The board will review and approve the agenda as well as minutes from previous meetings held on June 9, June 17, and July 10. A reorganization of the board is also planned, including elections for chair and vice chair positions.

At 7:10 PM, the board will consider Building Permit #1070 submitted by Kirk and Linda Maize for a garden shed and deck project.

The agenda includes a request from the State Geological Survey to conduct test holes related to coal, rare earth elements, and critical mineral exploration. This item reflects ongoing interest in assessing local resources.

Later in the meeting, members will discuss ordinances concerning wind energy projects, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar developments, and data centers. Hearings for wind and BESS ordinances are expected to be scheduled during these discussions.
