The Badlands Big Sticks secured a 6-3 victory over the Larks in their first game following the All-Star break on Friday night. Over seven innings, Weimer allowed only two hits and two unearned runs while striking out eight.
The Big Sticks took their initial lead in the third inning. With runners on the corners, Connor Sackett's steal attempt led to a throwing error by Trevian Martinez, allowing a run to score. Maddox Mcdonald added another run with a base hit to right field.
Although the Larks scored two runs in the fifth inning, the Big Sticks answered with a rally in the seventh inning. They achieved six consecutive hits, resulting in three additional runs and extending their lead to 6-2.
