The Cass County Finance Office has been awarded a 2025 Achievement Award by the National Association of Counties (NACo). This recognition is given to county government programs that are innovative and effective in strengthening services for residents.
The award was presented to the Finance Office under the County Administration and Management category. In 2024, the County Commission approved a Wedding Coordinator position due to an increase in marriage license applications received by the office. This new role has provided families with a memorable and cost-effective way to celebrate weddings.
“It is exciting to see Cass County recognized for this innovative approach to increasing community utilization of a county service. Supporting additional opportunities for the public to have a positive interaction with Cass County helps build a stronger community,” stated County Administrator Robert Wilson.
NACo’s Achievement Awards annually recognize exceptional programming across 18 categories, which reflect the wide range of services counties offer. These categories include children and youth, criminal justice and public safety, libraries, management, information technology, health, civic engagement, among others.
