North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) will have a significant presence at the 2025 North Dakota State Fair in Minot. The department aims to provide fairgoers with health information, wellness resources, and opportunities to connect with experts.

The HHS Mobile Medical Unit will be stationed on the fairgrounds, serving two primary functions during the event. It will support emergency response efforts by assisting Trinity Hospital in case of major medical incidents. When not in use for emergencies, the unit will be open for public tours and staffed by members of the HHS Public Health Division. Visitors can access various health and safety materials related to child passenger safety, poison prevention, safe sleep practices, and more.

Representatives from different HHS programs will participate in the Family Day Festival on Tuesday, July 22. This event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the SRT Festival Tent near Gate E. Parents and caregivers can learn about Medicaid wellness visits for children and teens, becoming foster care providers, and quality child care benefits.

Parents Lead will have a booth set up in the Commercial II Building to promote its program that supports children's behavioral health through communication. The theme this year is "There’s no right time. Just start talking," encouraging families to use everyday moments as opportunities for connection.

The Parents Lead booth will feature interactive conversation boards, family-friendly activities, and tools for supporting behavioral health at home. Information on topics such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and free naloxone kits will also be available.
