The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is participating in the North Dakota Department of Agriculture’s Hunger Free ND Garden Project. Starting on July 21, 2025, the library will serve as a donation site where community members can bring extra produce from their gardens. The produce should be brushed free of dirt before being brought to the library lobby.

This initiative encourages community sharing and aims to foster relationships while providing fresh produce to those who need it. Everyone is welcome to donate or take what they can use.

For more information, individuals can contact Bea Kaiser, Administrative Office Manager at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, by calling 701-355-1480 or visiting the project’s website. The library also offers additional resources through its media kit available online.
