A fatal crash occurred on October 25, 2025, at around 8:30 p.m. near Minot, North Dakota. The incident involved a single vehicle rollover on Ward County Road 14 and 62nd St. SW, approximately three miles southwest of Minot.
The driver, identified as Brandon Burton, 21, from Minot, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu and was involved in a police pursuit related to a felony domestic violence case. During the chase, Burton's vehicle traveled westbound at high speed before losing control on a gravel road. The car entered a ditch and rolled over.
Emergency responders transported Burton to Trinity Hospital with serious injuries where he was later pronounced dead. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the crash. Other agencies involved include the Minot Police Department, Ward County Sheriff’s Office, Minot Rural Fire Department, and Trinity First Response.
