A serious crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a pickup truck occurred on June 20, 2025, at around 6:57 p.m. in Pettibone, North Dakota. The incident took place at the intersection of 3rd Avenue NW and 46th Avenue SE.
According to reports, an eastbound Honda ATV driven by an 84-year-old woman collided with a northbound Dodge Ram 1500. The ATV entered the intersection, which is controlled by a yield sign, and was struck by the pickup truck.
The ATV driver was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious injuries. She was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck for treatment. The driver of the Dodge Ram, also aged 84 and from Robinson, was not injured despite not wearing a seat belt.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Pettibone & Robinson quick response units, Pettibone & Steele Fire and Rescue, Kidder County Ambulance, Metro Ambulance, Kidder County Sheriff’s Office, and Steele Police Department.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
