Oliver County Commission meeting to cover planning updates and road concerns

The Oliver County Commission has scheduled its next meeting for June 10, 2025. The agenda includes a Tax Equalization Meeting at 12:30 PM followed by the Commission Meeting at 1:00 PM.

The meeting will commence with the approval of the agenda and minutes from the previous session held on May 6, 2025. Approval of bills is also slated early in the proceedings.

A presentation by T-Mobile will be conducted via Teams at 1:15 PM, followed by a session led by Lisa Gusewelle from TextMyGov at 1:30 PM. Road Superintendent discussions are set to address concerns related to Hensler Road starting at 1:45 PM.

Planning and zoning updates are scheduled for 2:30 PM, including discussions on several conditional use permits (CUP) and building permits. Notable items include CUP #1059 for Brenden Sweeney and building permit #1067 for Minnesota Power-HVDC.

At 3:00 PM, human resources and emergency management updates will be provided. Topics include rescinding a burn ban and discussing NDPERS retirement plans.

Other business items on the agenda involve portfolio reports, updates from the Sheriff's Department including a letter from James Christoff, new deputy credit card issues, and sheriff's vehicles. Health insurance premium updates will also be addressed along with changes to the July commission meeting date. Additionally, it was noted that the auditor will be unavailable from June 25-27.
