Bismarck library hosts used book sale during summer reading kickoff

The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is preparing for a day of community engagement with its Summer Reading Kickoff Used Book Sale. Scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the event will take place in Meeting Room A at the library.

Organized by the Friends of the Bismarck Public Library, this one-day sale coincides with the Summer Reading Program Kickoff Celebration held outside on the plaza. Attendees can explore a selection of gently used children's and teen books, DVDs, and more. Adult book selections will also be available.

Books are priced at $1.00 per pound, while other items have individual prices. Proceeds from the sale will support programs and services at the library.

Elizabeth Jacobs, Assistant Library Director, is available for additional information regarding the event. The library invites people of all ages to participate and encourages media attendance as well.
