McLean Clerk of Court seeks deputy clerks for critical administrative roles

The McLean Clerk of Court's Office is currently looking to hire one or more Deputy Clerks of Court. The role involves assisting in the daily operations of the court system, which includes maintaining accurate court records and supporting judicial proceedings.

Responsibilities for this position include processing and maintaining court records, attending and recording court proceedings, preparing and issuing legal documents, collecting fines and fees, providing information to the public, working with judges and attorneys, ensuring confidentiality of legal records, performing data entry, and using case management systems.

Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED. While an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred, previous clerical or court experience is also beneficial. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail along with organizational and communication skills. They must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as legal software.

Applications will be accepted until 4:00 P.M. on June 4, 2025. The starting salary ranges from $46,188 to $51,328 annually. Benefits include participation in the ND Public Employees Retirement System retirement program and employer-paid health insurance.
