On May 15, 2025, a memorial service will be held at Memorial Hall in the State Capitol to honor North Dakota's sixty-nine fallen peace officers. This year, no new names have been added to the memorial.

The event will feature speeches from Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley, and Supreme Court Justice Douglas Bahr. Lieutenant Dustin Olson of the Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department and president of the North Dakota Peace Officers Association (NDPOA) will act as master of ceremonies.

Chaplains from the Crisis Care Chaplaincy are set to officiate and read the Roll Call of fallen officers. The NDPOA Honor Guard will assist during the ceremony. Taps will be played by retired Special Agent Duane Stanley and retired North Dakota Highway Patrol Sergeant Jerry Seeklander as a tribute. Retired Cass County Chief Deputy Mickey Harmon is scheduled to play the bagpipes to conclude the service.

To show support for law enforcement, past and present, State Capitol windows will illuminate with a "Thin Blue Line" at dusk on Thursday and Friday evenings.

The public is encouraged to attend this commemorative event.
