Dickinson State University (DSU) has announced its 2025 Outstanding Graduates, chosen from each of the university's academic schools. These students are recognized for their achievements in academics, leadership, and service. The celebration will take place at the Outstanding Graduate Ceremony on Friday, May 16, at 2:00 PM MT in the DSU Student Center Ballroom.
Emily Beck from Fessenden, North Dakota is honored as a master graduate from the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. "She earned two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees in just four years," while also competing on the DSU Rodeo Team and working nearly full-time.
Lottie Caldwell represents the School of Education. Originally from North Dakota, she shifted her focus to English after initially pursuing veterinary science. "After graduation, she plans to pursue a master's degree in English at the University of North Dakota."
Jake Daniel also from the School of Education has been active both academically and athletically. He plans to continue his education with a master's in Educational Leadership while teaching Physical Education locally.
Carson Hunter from Miles City, Montana is recognized by the School of Professional Studies. A member of both DSU Football Team and Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program, he aims for a career centered on health and community leadership.
Christina Jorgensen returns to Dickinson as a master graduate from the School of Education with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership roles.
Kaitlyn McColly excelled academically and athletically during her time at DSU's School of Professional Studies. She will start her nursing career as a pediatric nurse at Sanford Medical.
Griffin Obrigewitch from Dickinson will graduate with honors in Biology through the School of Applied Sciences. He looks forward to pursuing dentistry while maintaining his commitment to leadership roles.
Brendon Rasmussen developed an interest in conservation through his experiences outdoors. After transferring to DSU for Natural Resource Management studies, he aims for a career focused on wildlife habitat protection.
X’Avier Vincent transferred to DSU for Business Administration studies after starting at Bismarck State College. He has made significant contributions through Future Business Leaders of America competitions.
Madison Wahl balanced athletics with her pursuit of Elementary Education within the School of Education. She looks forward to beginning her career as an elementary educator post-graduation.
