Mandan Public Works is inviting the community to an open house event on May 22, as part of the National Public Works Week celebrations, which run from May 18 to 24. The event will take place at the Public Works facility, located at 411 Sixth Ave SW, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Public Works facility, meet the department's crews and partners, and learn about the work that supports the community. Free rides on Public Works equipment will be available for children, and a light meal will be served.
The theme for this year's National Public Works Week is "People, Purpose, Presence," representing the core ideals that drive public works professionals. The City of Mandan will also share messages from its team on Facebook during the week.
