Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak expressed her approval following the Senate's decision to pass legislation seeking to overturn the "Once-In-Always-In" rule reinstated by the Biden administration. The resolution, identified as S.J.Res. 31, received a favorable vote of 52-46. It was introduced in the Senate by Senator John Curtis.
Fedorchak criticized the rule, stating, “The Biden administration’s reinstatement of the ‘Once In, Always In’ rule is a bureaucratic mandate that punishes energy producers, manufacturers, and businesses for reducing emissions. It permanently classifies facilities as ‘major sources’ of hazardous air pollutants—even when they’ve made significant investments to cut emissions below federal thresholds. That makes no sense. Businesses that invest in cleaner technologies should be rewarded, not locked into outdated, costly regulations that remove any real incentive to improve.”
She further expressed gratitude for the Senate's support and acknowledged Senator John Curtis's role, saying, “I applaud the Senate for passing this resolution and thank Senator John Curtis for his leadership. I look forward to having this commonsense solution up for a vote in the House so we can send it to President Trump’s desk as soon as possible.”
Fedorchak looks forward to the upcoming vote in the House regarding the resolution.
