A Powerball ticket sold in Jamestown, North Dakota, has secured a $100,000 prize. The winning ticket was part of Wednesday night's draw and became a significant win for the holder by matching four white balls and the Powerball. The numbers were 1, 2, 3, 57, and 59, with the Powerball number being 9. The Power Play multiplier for this draw was 2.
The fortunate ticket was purchased at Hugo’s #9, located at 310 1st Ave South in Jamestown. Initially valued at $50,000, the prize doubled to $100,000 with the inclusion of the Power Play option. For facilitating the sale of this winning ticket, Hugo's #9 will receive a $2,000 bonus.
Randy Miller, the interim director of the North Dakota Lottery, commented, “As the temperatures are rising in North Dakota, so are the winnings for lottery players.” Besides this noteworthy Powerball win, Miller noted other recent lottery successes in the state, including a $60,000 Lotto America win with the All Star Bonus, a $20,000 Lotto America win, and a 2by2 jackpot prize of $22,000. Additional prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 have also been claimed since March.
The next Powerball draw on Saturday, May 3, offers a jackpot of $44 million. Winning numbers and further details are available at LOTTERY.ND.GOV.
