On Thursday, May 1, 2025, a contractor will commence work on installing an underground pipe. The work will take place across Burlington Drive, located on the north side of Airway Avenue. Consequently, Burlington Drive from Airway Avenue to Morrison Avenue will be closed to through traffic for approximately one week, weather permitting. However, access to local businesses will be accessible from the north.
Southbound traffic on Burlington Drive will be directed to take a detour east on Morrison Avenue, proceed south on Northern Plains Drive, and then head back west on Airway Avenue. Conversely, northbound traffic on Burlington Drive will be detoured east on Airway Avenue, head north on Northern Plains Drive, and then return west on Morrison Avenue.
It is important to note that Airway Avenue operates as a 6-ton roadway throughout the year.
