In a recent meeting, the Morton County Commission voted unanimously to partner with the North Dakota Cares Coalition, marking a significant move to support military personnel, veterans, families, and survivors in the region.

Nicole Frohlich, Military Outreach Specialist with the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, attended the meeting to request formal backing and a vote to align with the Coalition’s initiatives. The ND Cares Coalition is a statewide organization aimed at improving behavioral health service access, enhancing community relationships, and fostering resilience among North Dakota’s military-connected individuals and families.

Morton County Commission Chair Nathan Boehm stated, “We’re proud to stand alongside ND Cares in making sure our service members and veterans feel supported, not just by words, but by meaningful action. This partnership represents Morton County’s ongoing dedication to those who serve and have served, and to their families who also carry that burden and sacrifice.”

An official event to inaugurate the collaboration between Morton County and ND Cares is set to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
