The Greater North Dakota Chamber (GNDC) has announced the return of GrowND: Workforce Showcase, an event focused on providing practical workforce solutions for businesses in North Dakota. Scheduled for April 22, 2025, it will take place from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Heritage Center in Bismarck. An optional networking lunch and a social hour will follow the event, allowing participants to engage directly with speakers and presenters.

North Dakota businesses face ongoing workforce challenges. According to GNDC, 70% of its members have difficulty hiring, while 44% are looking to expand their workforce. GrowND aims to deliver actionable insights into workforce attraction, retention, and development through a series of concise, impactful presentations.

Amanda Remynse, GNDC VP of Strategic Engagement, emphasized the event's practical applications: “Each speaker will present workforce solutions that businesses can implement immediately or adapt to their own practices, offering real-world insights to help organizations tackle staffing challenges.” She added, “This is the second year GNDC has hosted GrowND, and last year, 100% of attendees said they would recommend the event to their peers.”

The event is sponsored by Bismarck State College, recognized as North Dakota's Polytechnic Institution. Registration costs are set at $35 for GNDC members and $50 for nonmembers.

The agenda includes presentations from 11 industry experts, each offering 10-minute segments on various workforce-related topics. Speakers range from Amy Arenz, Manager at Job Service North Dakota - Bismarck Workforce Center, to Taya Spelhaug, Microsoft TechSpark Lead for North Dakota. Others include leaders in fields such as healthcare, refugee coordination, and education.

Further details and registration information are available on the GNDC website at ndchamber.com.
