Students honored at 2025 AIHEC & AIBL event

The 2025 AIHEC Student Conference and the REZ AIBL Competition recently celebrated the achievements of several outstanding students. Participants were recognized for their dedication and accomplishments in various categories.

The SBC AIBL Chapter Team demonstrated exceptional talent and leadership, securing second place in the Business Plan Competition within the TCU Division. Tanner Veo was elected as the 2024-2025 AIHEC Student Congress President, a role that promises to showcase his leadership skills.

Kennedy Pleets achieved first place in the Painting Division, praised for her unmatched artistic vision. Jacob Fast Horse was a runner-up at the AIHEC Poetry Slam, with his work set to be published in an upcoming issue of the Tribal College Journal. Derek Gates was named Sitting Bull College Student of the Year, recognized for his commitment to excellence.

These students' hard work and perseverance were acknowledged during a celebratory event where they could relax and enjoy a meal together. The event highlighted their significant contributions and anticipated future successes.
