Flags lowered in North Dakota to honor late Rep. Josh Christy

Gov. Kelly Armstrong has ordered all U.S. and North Dakota flags to be flown at half-staff on Friday, February 28, in honor of state Representative Josh Christy from Fargo. The directive applies from dawn until dusk, and residents are encouraged to follow suit at their homes and businesses. Christy passed away on Tuesday, February 18, at the age of 43.

Funeral services for Rep. Christy are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, at Living Waters Lutheran Church located at 4451 40th Ave. S., Fargo. Following the service, burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo. Visitation is set for Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m., continuing again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday before the funeral.

Rep. Christy was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in November 2022 and was attending the legislative session in Bismarck when he passed away.
