Gov. Kelly Armstrong has expressed his support for a new legislative proposal aimed at boosting value-added agriculture projects in North Dakota. The proposed House Bill 1332, which was presented to the House Agriculture Committee, seeks to establish an incentive program designed to attract such projects to the state.

The bill outlines a "value-added agriculture production facility incentive program" and allocates up to $30 million for these initiatives. This aligns with Armstrong's executive budget recommendation, which also included provisions for funding value-added agricultural projects. In a show of support, the Governor’s Office provided testimony backing HB 1332 during its hearing.
