Senator John Hoeven released a statement following the Senate's confirmation of Russell Vought as the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
"Russ Vought previously served as director of OMB during President Trump’s first term and we congratulate him on his confirmation to once again lead OMB," stated Hoeven. "We look forward to working with Director Vought and President Trump to cut red tape and rollback unnecessary government regulations. As the head of OMB, he will be an important partner as we work to rein in government spending and ensure we are using taxpayer dollars wisely."
Vought's confirmation marks his return to a role he held during Trump's initial term, indicating continuity in leadership at the OMB.
