The United States Senate has confirmed Scott Turner as the 19th Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with a vote count of 54 to 44. U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer, who serves on the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, expressed his support for Turner's nomination.

Senator Cramer stated, "Scott Turner is first and foremost a leader, and he will be an excellent Secretary of Housing and Urban Development." He further highlighted Turner's understanding of supply-side policies and his awareness of landlord needs to provide affordable housing where necessary. According to Cramer, local and tribal communities in North Dakota are expected to benefit from Turner's expertise as a builder and developer.
