Middle and high school educators in North Dakota are being invited to apply for modern agriculture STEM kits. The initiative is a collaboration between the North Dakota Department of Agriculture and the North Dakota Ag in the Classroom Program. The kits aim to help students learn about technology, sustainable practices, and gain a broad understanding of the current agriculture industry.

“I encourage educators to take advantage of this opportunity to embed agriculture into their classrooms,” said Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring. “Students will have the opportunity to explore a different part of agriculture that they might not have related to the industry."

The kits include lesson plans from the National Ag in the Classroom Matrix as well as robotic kits. Educators are expected to use these resources in their curriculum by March 2026, after which follow-up surveys will be distributed.

There is a limited supply of kits available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are open until October 31, 2025, and can be accessed at https://www.ndda.nd.gov/AITCresources.

For more information regarding applications, educators can contact Agriculture Business Development Coordinator Heather Lang at hlang@nd.gov or by phone at 701-328-2308 or 701-595-9120.
