Kelly Parker has joined North Dakota State University Extension as the state 4-H Youth Development specialist. In this role, she will lead the North Dakota 4-H Ambassadors program and collaborate with co-advisors to inspire and empower youth across the state.

Parker is eager to contribute to program design and evaluation, ensuring a strong foundation for positive youth development. 

"I am thrilled to join North Dakota 4-H and the Ambassadors program," she said. "I look forward to working with our youth and communities to equip students with the skills they need to achieve their dreams and succeed in the workforce and beyond."

She earned her bachelor's degree in veterinary sciences from the University of Tennessee at Martin. After teaching a variety of K-12 subjects, Parker pursued her master's and Ph.D. in health, nutrition, and exercise sciences at NDSU. She is currently a post-doctoral research fellow in NDSU’s psychology department.

Parker brings hands-on teaching experience, having led programs such as Eat Smart to Live Strong. She also served as a SNAP-Ed program assistant in Ohio, where she worked on nutrition education initiatives. With her diverse background and passion for youth development, Parker is poised to make a meaningful impact in her new role at North Dakota 4-H.
