Cass County is set to host its annual spelling bee on February 7th at the El Zagal Shrine in Fargo. The event, which will take place at 1429 3rd Street North, begins with a final spell-off starting at 1:00 p.m. Those unable to attend can watch a livestream of the spell-off on Cass County Government's Facebook and YouTube pages.

The spelling bee will see participation from several schools across the county. Each school in Cass County has the opportunity to send up to five students from grades three through eight. At the state level, each county is allowed to send two students. To be eligible, students must belong to schools fully enrolled with Scripps for National and the North Dakota Association of County Superintendents for State by specified deadlines. In cases where a county winner or runner-up cannot participate, an alternate may be sent.

Further details can be found at casscountynd.gov/spelling or by contacting the Cass County Finance Office at (701) 241-5600.
