Kennedy Pleets presents research at North Dakota INBRE symposium | Sitting Bull College

During a weekend in October 2024, Kennedy Pleets showcased her summer research project at the 2024 North Dakota INBRE Annual Symposium in Grand Forks, ND. The event highlighted research by undergraduate students from various institutions across North Dakota. "Kennedy did an awesome job representing Sitting Bull College," said the college's announcement.

The symposium focuses on health and environmental research projects involving undergraduate students. It is part of the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE), a federally funded program under the National Institute of General Medical Sciences at the National Institutes of Health. The program aims to enhance biomedical research capacity through faculty support, student involvement, and infrastructure development.

In addition to her research achievements, Kennedy Pleets is pursuing a Veterinary Assistant certificate and is enrolled in the Environmental Science program. She is also active in the SBC Chapter of AISES, works in the SBC Analytical Lab, and participates in numerous campus activities. "Sitting Bull College is very proud of Kennedy Pleets!" added the college.
