On December 19, Bismarck firefighters will deliver toys to children spending Christmas in the hospital. This event marks the continuation of a thirteen-year tradition aimed at bringing joy to young patients during the holiday season.
“It’s that time of year again and the Bismarck Firefighters are excited to continue the thirteen-year tradition of delivering gifts to children who, due to illness, will be spending Christmas in the hospital this year,” said Battalion Chief Luke Teagle of the Bismarck Fire Department. He emphasized that Christmas is a time for joy, enhanced by acts of kindness and support for others.
The initiative is supported by local businesses and organizations that have provided donations. These contributions ensure that families have some relief and children receive presents this Christmas. The list of contributors includes Mojo 107.5 & Big Rig, Bismarck Eagles Club, Heidi Stein with Bianco Realty, Hoerner Lawn Services LLC, McQuade Charities, Lucky's Bar, Broken Oar Bar, The Drink, Old 10 in Mandan, Lonesome Dove Saloon, Bravera Bank, 3C Construction, NuVation Health Services, C.H. Deli, Puklich Chevrolet, Bright Dental Studio, Horizon Odyssey Group Horizon Middle School Students, Sizzlin S Construction, Firehouse Cleaners as well as community members and staff from the Bismarck Fire Department.
