The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) has announced an award of $200,000 to SAGE Development Authority, a federally chartered Section 17 Corporation created by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. This funding is provided through OCED’s Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) Program and will support clean energy projects.

The ERA Program was established under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. It aims to improve the resilience, reliability, safety, availability, and environmental performance of energy systems serving rural or remote areas with populations of less than 10,000 people.
